My Daughter's Dreams

She dreams
In psychotic shades
Of each colour
Of the rainbow.

Hot pink skies
Draping over black seas
In which neon green fish
Swim.

In her dreams
Love abounds
The scent of warm vanilla
Wafts through the air.

In her dreams
There are always puppies
To play with,
Kittens to purr.

In her dreams,
Diamonds are buried in the sand
And set
In the night skies.

In my daughter's dreams
Time does not exist
And mother's don't die.
